The Canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden was looking for a modern document storage system for large amounts of data and high traceability. They found it with the business management software OneGov GEVER.
The customer
The Canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden has the second smallest cantonal size with 172 km2 and the smallest population with around 16,000 inhabitants. Culturally, however, it can easily keep up with the large cantons: the famous Alpfahrt is just one of the canton's still deeply rooted and actively lived traditions.
The challenge
The canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden wanted a modern document management system. This was primarily triggered by the growing volumes of data and the lack of traceability. It was also increasingly difficult to train new employees because the filing structures were hardly regulated. Finally, the employees' desire for electronic data management was a driving factor for a new solution.
The solution
With the OneGov GEVER business management system, these requirements could be met. On the one hand, this is achieved by guaranteeing high performance, and on the other hand, all activities can be tracked in the system through journalisation and versioning. The web-based and platform-independent product has been continuously developed since its introduction in 2015 and was thus also able to meet new requirements of the canton.
